TCNJ’s own Brian R. Hackett, senior political science major and former College Republicans chairman, addressed the annual CPAC convention in Washington, D.C. on Friday, February 19. Hackett was selected to appear alongside other young conservative activists from around the country.
After unsuccessfully running for the Republican nomination to the state assembly last spring, Hackett has been mentioned as a possible contender to fill the seat of retiring Sen. Bill Baroni (R-Hamilton). But at 22, he is eight years short of a constitutional age requirement for state senators.
The Perspective will have a full interview with Hackett for our next edition.
